Top 5 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Games

Hey guys today we are looking at one of my all-time favorite video game series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! For the most part I think the majority of the games to feature the Turtles have been a lot of fun and I want to share with you what my favorite five games are!

Number 5

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall Of The Foot Clan

Game Boy

I will admit that I have my nostalgia goggles on for this one, but this is a game I spent a ton of time with as a kid not just when taking trips in the car, but also at home as well. This is a side scrolling beat em up where once you pick your Turtle, you can play the levels in any way you want. The game is very short and easy, but it made it perfect for quick gaming sessions. I think visually the game still holds up to this day and it is still fun to play. Also Fall Of The Foot Clan has one of my favorite box arts!

Number 4

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters

Super Nintendo

This was also released on the Sega Mega Drive, but they are two totally different games and the Super Nintendo version is a million time better. Tournament Fighters is one of the best fighting games of the 16-bit era. I would go as far to say that in terms of looks, Tournament Fighters is the best looking fighting game on the Super Nintendo. Game play wise you have your standard tournament mode to play through, but there is also a cool story mode as well. In all this is just a very well made game that not only looks incredible, but is also a lot of fun to play.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Arcade Game

Arcade

Konami were the masters of making bad ass arcade games back in the 80’s and the 90’s and one of the most fondly remembered games of theirs was, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. One of the most popular four player games of its day, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles saw you playing through what felt like an episode of the TV show. This now is actually a pretty simple, beat em up. But it is still a lot of fun to play through, especially if you have three buddies to play with you. This game was ported to many home computers and the NES as well back in the day.

Number 2

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Nintendo Game Cube, Playstation 2, Xbox

A few raised eyebrows here no doubt! Based on the 2003, Ninja Turtles TV series this game is just freaking awesome, but it was unfairly panned by critics. This is a 3D action game that lets you pick from not just all four Turtles, but also lets you play as Casey and Master Splinter once you unlock them. Each character will experience the story in a slightly different way and have changes to the levels to suit them. This makes it a game you really do want to beat with every character. With gorgeous cell shaded graphics and game play that is a lot of fun. I honestly feel this is the most under rated, Turtles game of all time. Despite what the reviews at the time said, you can do some pretty varied attacks here and score some pretty crazy combos!

Number 1

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles In Time

Super Nintendo

This actually is one of my all-time favorite games in general! Turtles In Time started life as an arcade game, but the version made for the Super Nintendo is better than the arcade! This is side scrolling action at its very best. Boasting amazing graphics, great use of mode 7, one of the best soundtracks on the Super Nintendo and game play that never gets old, Turtles In Time is one hell of a great game. No matter if you are playing on your own or in two player. I honestly think it is impossible not to have a great time when you play this game! With a good amount of attacks to do, fun bosses and a great scoring system to challenge yourself (different ways you kill enemies will give you a different score) this is a game that you can play forever!
