Man this year is just flying past and to be fair while some great and fun games have been released I think that 2015 has not really been stacked so far for huge Triple A games and many of the best games have been indie ones. Well there is still more than half the year left and today I want to share with you what I think are the best games that are still to come in 2015. If there is a game you are excited about that I have missed out please let me know in the comments below.
Batman Arkham Knight
Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC
Holy crap does this game look epic! Arkham City was one of my favorite games of last generation so I cannot wait to see what Rocksteady can do with the power of the Xbox One and PS4 to play with. The story sees the newly created Arkham Knight along with characters like The Scarecrow, Two Face, Penguin and Riddler trying to put a stop to Batman. With multiple characters to play as and the inclusion of the Batmobile, Arkham Knight is sure to be a huge hit when it is released and a lot of fun to play. The Arkham games are some of the best story driven action games I have ever played and I am really looking forward (like I am sure you are) to seeing how this is going to play out without The Joker.
No Man’s Sky
Playstation 4, PC
Hmm I really hope this one does make it out in 2015, but I have my doubts still as of writing this is still down for a 2015 release. Anyway, No Man’s Sky is an incredible simulation game made by indie studio, Hello Games. This is a “space simulator” where you are on a randomly created planet full of all kinds of interesting, weird and wonderful creatures. Exploration and discovery sounds like a lot of fun and the main focus of the game. One cool thing is that you can jump in a space ship and fly to another players planet and see what is going on there. I have a feeling that this game could turn out to be an absolute smash hit!
Halo 5: Guardians
I freaking love the Halo series! I have loved every instalment actually and to me no other game makes me really feel like I am in this huge intergalactic war and that the fate of the universe depends on my actions. Much of Halo 5’s story is being kept under wraps… which I am actually thankful for. But more Halo is always a good thing and I cannot wait to see what is going to happen why is Master Chief missing?????? Well like you I will just have to wait until October to find out. One thing I want to say is that Halo 4 pushed the Xbox 360 to its limits in terms of visuals so as shallow as it sounds I cannot wait to see how amazing this game looks in action.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5
Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Playstation 3
**Pic Is Not From Tony Hawk 5**
I was giddy like a school girl at the official announcement of this game! To me the pinnacle of this series is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 (check out my review) each game after this while fun got away from what made the initial four games so popular. Well Activision do sound like they are taking things back to their roots with this game. From what we know there will be huge levels, tons of objectives and I am sure a great online scene with people trying to get the highest score! One interesting thing is that Activision have said that the game will have the “old school” mechanics of the older games which we loved, but add in new things like projectiles and other kinds of power ups while I am not sold on these two things the rest of the game I am very excited for.
Rise Of The Tomb Raider
Xbox One, Xbox 360
The reboot of Tomb Raider was nothing short of spectacular. Later in 2015 the new badass, Lara Croft is back and this time it is as a timed exclusive on the Xbox One. From what we have seen it looks like Crystal Dynamics are not going to tinker with the game play too much and instead make things just much more larger and dramatic in pretty much every way. The events of the first game have been covered up and to prove she is not crazy, Lara now wants to go all over the world to solve various myths and legends. The game looks amazing and I think even though it is just a timed exclusive that this is a huge game for Microsoft to tempt people to buy an Xbox One with this holiday season.
